Community Commitment

Look around you - we're your neighbors. At Penobscot County Federal Credit Union, we live, work, and worship among the very members we serve. We care about the community at large, and work hard throughout the year to make positive and worthwhile contributions such as these:

  • Ending Hunger - Throughout the year the credit union holds various fund and food raising events to bring sustenance to those most in need. Our campaign culminates each year during the annual Ending Hunger Walk where, in partnership with our fellow credit unions, we raise thousands of dollars to feed Maine's hungry. For more information and statistics, visit the Maine Credit Union League's website.

  • We also support: Canoe Hullabaloo, Comforting Blankets, Friends of Old Town Baseball, Greater Bangor Area Financial Fitness Fair, Grow Smart Maine, Junior Achievement of Maine, Maine Credit Union League, Maine Discovery Museum, Old Town High School Project Graduation, Old Town Little League, Old Town Orono YMCA, Old Town's Concert in the Park Sponsorship, OTHS Hockey, Penobscot Valley High School Athletics, Salvation Army, Riverfest, River Coalition, Toys for Tots and many more...

Our commitment extends beyond charity into every aspect of our operation. We work hard to provide accessible, affordable and simple to use financial solutions for all residents of Penobscot County. Our credit union structure allows us to keep fees and interest rates low while returning higher dividends back to those most important to us - our members. We are non-profit and exist only to serve.

Our commitment has never been stronger, our resolve never greater - at PCFCU, we care!
